For anybody interested, I have been trying the HoK paint from Coast Airbrush with excellent results. It comes in as small as 1oz of pre-reduced colors, and there are many to choose from. You can clear in as little as 15 minutes and it cleans up with laquer thinner.

Darren your Corvette looks fabulous.  I too have been experimenting with HOK.  i suspect there is a steep learning curve.  I painted over a Floquil gold lacquer and ended up with a disaster.  Note to self only use HOK undercoats.  I also noticed it would spit a bit.  I suspect I need to reducer more as i think it was drying in the bottle.

I am going to try it again.
